Mrs Geeta Peter has been teaching in high schools for more than 25 years. She started her teaching career in India and continued in  both New Zealand and the United States. One of her goals was to see girls in high schools succeed in mathematics. She has worked in various school settings, from Catholic institutions to low income inner city schools. Her energy to surmount most social issues endured by students has touched the hearts of many aspiring young persons. 

In Auckland, New Zealand, Mrs Peter overcame many cultural shocks to become a succesful math teacher in high school. Over a period of ten years she learned all that was needed to use computer programs to her advantage in every classroom. Auckland presented her with a diverse range of students of different capabilities. She showeed great versitility in her teaching style to reach the individual needs of students.
